We enjoyed the bustling harbor view while savoring freshly caught cod at the restaurant, a treat for both adults and children alike. Engaging with the local fishing culture was a highlight for us. We witnessed small fishing boats returning with their daily catch, presenting ample opportunities for the kids to learn about Icelandic maritime traditions. The surrounding area offered family-friendly activities such as hiking and birdwatching, allowing us to explore the breathtaking scenery. While the amenities may be basic, the warmth of the staff makes up for it, creating a home-like environment. Nordurljos is an ideal stop for families seeking adventure while experiencing authentic Icelandic hospitality.
